LGBTQ+ inclusivity at G Adventures

Changing the world through travel is baked into who we are at G Adventures. Our team around the world deeply values diversity, inclusivity, and the power of community. Pride isn’t just an annual event, it’s a year-round commitment. We wholeheartedly embrace and stand in solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community so every traveller feels valued on their journey with us.

On tour

When you head out on a trip with G Adventures, you're not just a traveller – you're a valued member of our global community. Diversity is, and always will be, celebrated so that everyone is free to be their most authentic selves.

Commitment to traveller safety

The safety and well-being of our travellers is our top priority. We are committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all individuals to explore the world freely and without fear. Our Traveller Conduct Policy reflects this commitment:

Respecting people

Travellers are expected to respect others. This includes other travellers, G Adventures staff, third-party service providers, and the local people and cultures in the destinations they visit. We commit to making our tours a safe and inclusive place for people to express their authentic selves without judgment, free from any discriminatory language or harassment. While travelling with G Adventures, all travellers must treat each other with dignity and respect to create an environment that is positive, safe, and where everyone feels welcome.

CEOs role in fostering inclusion

Our Chief Experience Officers (CEOs) are dedicated to creating a welcoming environment where all travellers feel valued. As ambassadors of diversity and inclusivity, our CEOs lead by example embracing diversity, promoting respect, and fostering a sense of community among their travellers. Their job is to guide meaningful cultural exchange, address concerns promptly and professionally, and lead travellers on memorable journeys filled with adventure, discovery, and connections with people and places around the world. As part of their commitment, all CEOs receive LGBTQ+ inclusion training so every traveller feels respected and welcomed.

My commitment as a CEO is to create a travel experience where everyone can explore the world being the real you, the way you feel you are with no exclusions, respect, and a safe environment. Explore the world with G Adventures and be proud of you!

CASA G LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group

CASA G (Community Alliance Support at G) LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group provides a safe and supportive space for employees who identify as LGBTQ+ to connect, share experiences, and access resources. This group fosters a sense of belonging and community, offering a platform for conversation, support, and personal growth. CASA G LGBTQ+ is committed to diversity, inclusivity, and equality, and plays an important role in promoting these values throughout G Adventures.

Plans for more inclusivity

G Adventures works closely with CASA G LGBTQ+ to improve and foster greater inclusivity within our organization. We commit to sharing the progress of our ongoing efforts. We are currently working on:

Checkout identity update

We are developing a new checkout feature to let travellers share their gender identity and pronouns. This update aims for a more inclusive and respectful experience so everyone feels comfortable and valued throughout their journey with us.

Training and education

We understand the importance of education and awareness in promoting inclusivity. We offer comprehensive training programs and educational resources focused on promoting diversity, inclusion, and cultural understanding for our employees. Through interactive workshops, online modules, and ongoing learning opportunities, we work to empower our team to better understand the unique needs and experiences of LGBTQ+ travellers and communities.

Around the world

LGBTQ+ rights and acceptance varies from country to country. Explore the progress of LGBTQ+ rights across the globe on Equaldex.

When travelling, keep in mind:

  • Be aware of your own cultural values, biases, and how they impact your judgment of others
  • You don’t have to agree with the opinions or beliefs of others but you must be respectful of them
  • As part of a G Adventures group, bullying or prejudice towards any person is not acceptable including homophobia, transphobia, racism, misogyny, ableism, ageism, or any other form
